![]() Trouble is, I'm now away from the Goggles till Sunday pm!! THEN it listed as Fly App to install, and did. ![]() ![]() It was listed in a long long list ONLY under "Samsung Internet", and I only realised where it was lodged when I compared size of files. Samsung Android OS had refused to let it install but at the same time dimmed the screen and just said go to Settings, where there was nothing identifiable AS the Fly App to be given permission. I have now managed to install the DJI Fly App, it had downloaded three times. They were fully sealed with full interior packing so if a re-issue they'd very fully re-wrapped/bagged/banded and boxed it all, it was exactly as my first ones were, down to unbroken holographic stickers, etc. The Goggles came from a UK seller that sell lots and regularly goes zero stock, and had at least TWICE gone zero while I was deliberating, with me going onto "notify me" twice. It looks like Joey has managed to activate his using the Fly App so that seems to be the way to go if you can get the app to work, unless you've been unfortunate enough to end up with a pair of lemons. Having to "activate" hardware that you have paid good money for before you can use it is a complete nonsense and there should be some UK/EU legislation in place that prohibits such practices. ![]() A post on the DJI forum HERE from a couple of years ago complained about a similar issue. Maybe you've ended up with a pair of new-old-stock goggles that have been sitting in a stock cupboard for a long time or you've been sold a refurbished (by DJI) pair that have previously already been activated. Normally you don't get to see the list of available firmware updates until you've actually activated them first. I'm surprised the firmware was on 0603 because that seems to be quite old firmware. The bizarre thing with your goggles is that you were actually able to update the firmware before you were prompted to activate them. The Goggles have linked to a quad here as well as a bench ready Vista, both give public channel images, still no activation though, so no menus. All my exisitng is on 0606 so that's where I want to be, never going Avata nor DJI FPV Drone. I updated from 0603 to 0606 (allowed when not activated!!!) but it made no difference to no activation, so no menus. DJI appear to have been on the FrSky training course for firmware releases Yeah, the whole firmware situation on the DJI V2 goggles is a complete mess and has been made even worse with the added compatibility for multiple DJI drones & systems. Maybe DJI now pre-load that later firmware onto DJI FPV Goggles V2 from the factory but haven't bothered to update the user guide. This only happens once you have the newer firmware installed which is needed for compatibility with the DJI Avata and O3 Air Unit. The need to switch over to using the Consumer Drones version of the DJI FPV Assistant 2 going forward is detailed in most of the YT videos which relate to recent DJI firmware updates. I assume that you're running Android 7.0 or later (?) I have a feeling that even if the goggles are the DIY FPV System mode that the DJI Fly App will still detect them and allow activation, but from your last post it sounds like the app isn't even loading up. I have till now only used FPV series on all my Vista and other Goggles, and which is what shows on the screen at power up, but if they had switched SINCE the firmware it has?)
